A friend's bird got away last night.

Sunny is a common grey cockatiel.  Lost in the area of 33rd and Elmwood.  He does not have a band on his leg, his flight feathers are clipped.  He says a few things like "Come here " and "Pretty bird" and whistles.

There is a reward offered with no questions asked, for Sunny's safe return.  Please call 572-2667 with any information.

By any chance, does anyone here have a copy of the May issue of Lake Erie Lifestyle magazine? There's an article in that issue that I would love to have a copy of... I'll be forever grateful... Thanks in advance!

Indoor / Outdoor Picnic Area
My best friend is getting married. Her maid-of-honor is looking for a place that has an indoor picnic pavilion, yet an outdoor place where people could still grill food or go outside to play games. She was looking at the one at Presque Isle, but it didn't work out. Are there any other places / parks that have anything similar? Thanks!

Fruit picking?

I'd like to take my kids to fruit farms to pick some fruit, but I never know when or where.  So, when and where's the best place/time to pick some fruit?  Any type of fruit is fine.  We're not picky.  Even if it's out of season, I'd like to know for future picking.  Thanks.  :)

Re: Missing Cat

Eleven days later, more than 50% thinner, Molly's been found.  The nice people even asked us to NOT reward them, but rather use that money to take her to the vet (which we'd have done anyway).

I'm so grateful.  Thank you for your thoughts and ideas.

11:02 pm

Due to circumstances, my cat was staying with my aunt and was just about to be brought home.

Early Thursday morning, aunt let cat out, and hasn't seen her since.

She was lost on Beibel Ave, near the Kuntz/Crowell intersection.  Her name is Molly.  She's a 12-yo dark grey and white (bib, belly, socks are white) shorthair.  She's wearing a black collar and a white collar, with no tags.

She's spayed, declawed, and missing a few teeth due to the daily medication she needs.  She's skittish until she warms up, so she might not come when called or be the friendliest, but she's harmless.  She looks underfed as she was a very hefty cat and lost weight due to a tumor on her thyroid gland that caused it to overact.

If anyone has any information at all as to her whereabouts, please call 864-8702.

Drive in?

I have heard that there is a drive in theatre nearby that is open during the summer. Can anyone tell me where it is or when it runs? I just moved here a couple years ago from Mass and my boyfriend is coming to visit. I think he'd like to go there but I can't find any information on it and don't know where to look.

Does anyone here have a clue where I can get my apartment tested for lead paint?  I am searching all over the place, and cannot even get an idea of where I need to go.

I have a really weird question that maybe someone out there will be able to answer if this journal is still active.

I was a student at Gannon in the early 90's.  I lived on Myrtle St, and on Myrtle and 9th there was a little grocery store.  I have been wracking my brain trying to think of the name of it for two weeks now (very long story - late night work conversation).  Does anyone know what it was called? Is it still there?  Thanks for your help!

Apartment Prices
What are rent prices like near (walking distance to) the university? HOw about in other cool neighborhoods?

In general in Erie, what would it cost for a 1br or a 2br with a small yard (dogs) in decent shape in a safe neighborhood?

Is there any kind of bus system or public transportation?
